Points economy: daily claims, multipliers, and tasks
Since the product runs on points instead of real money, engagement had to come from the points themselves. I designed a Hold-to-Claim daily reward with a counter animation that winds up the balance every four hours, growing as users complete tasks and invite friends. A randomized Win Multiplier boosts the next bet's reward by up to 20x when activated. Tasks split into daily (TON transactions, watching videos, social actions) and one-time (joining partner mini-apps, follows), with every completed task feeding points back into the next claim. Together they form a loop where every action increases the next reward.
One-tap prediction flow
The core loop is one screen: a live TON-USD chart, the current price, a 5-second timer counting down the round, and one decision — higher or lower. When the round ends, the result appears inline and the user can immediately enter the next round. I built the screen so the chart, the price, the timer, and the result all live in one visual hierarchy with no modal interruptions. The whole flow from seeing the price to placing a bet takes one tap, against six to ten taps on a traditional perp interface.
Phase 1: Prediction Mini App.
Working with the product manager and developer, I designed every screen of the MVP and shaped the engagement mechanics that came in later iterations.

Problem
For newcomers: most crypto trading apps are built for pros – full of charts, jargon, and settings that scare off normal people. There was no simple way for a Telegram user to try crypto trading without first learning what leverage, slippage, and liquidation mean.
For traders: TON had no fast perpetual exchange. The blockchain's slow block times meant a leveraged position could already be liquidated by the time it opened on-chain, and the few existing perp exchanges on TON had small volumes and clunky interfaces.
Context
TON had a massive audience sitting in Telegram chats talking about crypto every day, but nowhere inside Telegram for them to actually trade. The team saw a chance to build it from two sides at once: a lightweight entry product for newcomers, and a serious perpetual exchange for traders who already knew what they wanted.
Overview
Scalr is a Telegram Mini App on TON where users predict whether TON's price will go up or down and earn points for being right. It was the consumer-facing entry point of a two-step plan, sitting alongside a full perpetual DEX the team was building in parallel.
